Sno-Cone

This half pint version of the Iceman is a for youngsters 10 & under. The courses will consist of a short (1/4 mile) and relatively flat loop around Timber Ridge Resort for the very youngest riders and a 1.5 mile course for older riders.

The Meijer Sno Cone Race has reached its rider cap for the 2025 race. This is the first year we’ve placed a limit on participation, a decision made together with our friends at Norte Youth Cycling, to prioritize the safety and experience of every young rider.

With so many enthusiastic participants, setting a cap allows us to ensure the course stays manageable, supervision remains strong, and every racer can enjoy a fun and safe ride from start to finish.

To make the day even smoother, we’ve added two start times and extra course volunteers to support our riders along the way. We truly appreciate everyone’s excitement and understanding as we work to make the Meijer Sno Cone Race a safe, memorable, and confidence-building event for all our young cyclists!

The Meijer Sno-Cone will begin at 3:00 PM. Participants will be broken down into appropriate age categories and ability levels. The courses will consist of a short (1/4 mile) and relatively flat loop around Timber Ridge Resort for the very youngest riders and a 1.5 mile course for older riders.

If you’re going to watch ONE event during Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge, it has to be the Meijer Sno-Cone races for children 10 and under! These races have it all, high speeds, crashes, heroics as fallen riders climb back on their bikes to finish, and even pink handlebar streamers!

Everyone who comes back to Timber Ridge Resort to watch the end of the professional races had better plan on arriving a bit early to catch some of the fiercest racing of the day. In fact, the loudest cheers of the day definitely occur during the Meijer Sno-Cone as the cacophony of noise follows the young riders throughout Timber Ridge Resort. Every single girl and boy in the Meijer Sno-Cone receives a huge ovation from the crowd. Usually reserved spectators bang on the coroplast signs, ring their cowbells, and scream encouragement for these young athletes. Just be sure to rest your voice so you can cheer on the future of mountain bike racing.
