Additional events include the Meijer Slush Cup, Meijer Sno-Cone, and SRAM Ice Cycle Expo. The Meijer Slush Cup is a half-frozen eight-mile version of the Iceman, while the Meijer Sno-Cone event is geared towards riders under 12 with all youngsters receiving medals and other goodies.
The Ice Cycle Expo is held the Friday prior to the races at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. More than 5,000 athletes from thirty-eight states, Mexico and Canada participated in the 2017 Iceman Events. An estimated 10,000 spectators lined the courses to catch the excitement as the riders progressed along the trail.
