2023 is just around the corner and we wanted to make sure that you added some dates to your calendar!

FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2023 – Registration opens to the public at 9:00am for the 2023 Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge. Any participant that was registered for the 2022 race will receive an email earlier that week that inviting them to register. Be sure to add “Icemaninfo@iceman.com” to your safe senders list so you don’t miss these important announcements!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2023 – Ice Cycle Expo at the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. Pick up your race packet, Iceman Gear and shop all the local bike shops in one place, plus other gear from companies all over the country!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2023 – This is the DAY! Join your friends and family as you ride the Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge presented by Trek from Kalkaska to Timber Ridge Resort in Traverse City. Celebrate at the BISSELL Celebration Zone with your favorite Bell’s Beer and cheer on the racers as the finish!

Just a reminder that the Iceman Store is open, and that orders placed will be delivered to you personally by our Iceman Staff at packet pick up. The items aren’t event delivered until October. Please spare us the call in three weeks asking, “Where is my 2018 Iceman jersey?” They’re still in production.

Packet pick-up and the SRAM IceCyle Expo is upstairs at Grand Traverse Resort in the Michigan Ballroom. Head in the front doors of the resort and veer left and you’ll find it. Remember to check out the Central Market Place at Timber Ridge Resort for more vendors, and more swag. The Ice Cyle Expo at the resort runs from 10-9 on Friday and the Central Marketplace at Timber Ridge runs from 12-6 on Friday and 9-5 on Saturday.

Calling all Volunteers! We are looking for drivers to transport competitors’ bikes in Penske trucks.  No special certification needed, just a great attitude and a licensed driver over 18!  Shifts are 6am-noon and noon-6pm; we currently need 5 morning drivers and 13 afternoon drivers.  There is also an option to bring a buddy and do an all day shift!  Snacks and refreshments will be provided, Contact me today with your shift preference!

*Routes will be assigned on Saturday, please confirm your shift preference to Stacy Farrell at janwm@ja.org or 231-620-0953.  Specifics will be provided upon confirmation. The starting location is the Penske office located at  2615 N US Highway 31 S, Traverse City, MI 49684

The race hotline phone number that was printed on the front of the number plates is incorrect. If you have a non-life threatening emergency, or are abandoning the race use 231-944-5437 instead of what’s printed on the front of the plate. If you have a life threatening emergency, call 911 first.

Parking at Timber Ridge is not included with any race entry, Iceman, Sno-Cone or Slush Cup, there are frequent shuttles from Rasho Farm to Timber Ridge or you can purchase a parking pass at Timber Ridge at any time. Parking passes for Timber Ridge will be available at the SRAM IceCycle Expo until about 6pm Friday night.

Fat Bike Nationals & State Championships coming to Grand Rapids

With racers flying in from as far away as Alaska, the USAC Fatbike Nationals will be hosted in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 26-29, 2017!  According one of the organizers it’s not only for Pros but   “Anyone can race!”  There are fields for Pro/Open, Amateur and Juniors with age awards for Masters, Single Speed and Juniors. Register here.  

Saturday is the USAC race and Sunday is the Michigan Fatbike State Championship! So 2 races in one weekend! 

If you don’t want to race, go to Grand Rapids to spectate and enjoy the festivities listed below:
