Wave Seeding

2011 Iceman WAVE Seeding

Once again 2011 Iceman wave placement will be determined by previous Iceman results.

Each wave will consist of riders with similar times and will not be made up of a particular age class. So it is highly likely that single-speeders and tandem riders will be mixed in with male & female age class riders. The time parameters for each wave will not be determined until the end of October (when all the dust finally settles on the registration database). Thus, wave assignments will be announced sometime during the week of October 24th.

For those riders who participated in 2010, your 2010 result will be automatically included in your entry record and you will be seeded appropriately. For those riders who did not ride last year but have competed in a past Iceman event, we can use your result from a prior year and those times will be adjusted slightly in order to bring them into line with the 2010 results.

Riders new to the whole Iceman experience will be placed in an age class wave towards the rear of the wave starts. Unfortunately, we cannot use results from a different event for experienced riders that have not previously participated in Iceman.
