2007 ICEMAN REGISTRATION TRANSFER PROTOCOL
For 2007, Kids Race Sports Development Inc., proud sponsors of the Michigan Youth Cycling Program & the Iceman Scholarship Program, would like to thank Iceman Pro-motions for giving us this great opportunity to help us reach our goal of $2,000.00 for the 2007 Iceman Scholarship Program.
This year, the Michigan Youth Cycling Program will be handling all race entry transfers. In doing so, there will be a $15.00 transfer fee that will be donated to the Iceman Scholarship Program (100% of the proceeds will be directed to the Scholarship Program). So for all of you that fit in the population of riders that can't make this year's great race, for whatever reason, we have good news. You may transfer your entry to a friend as long as you follow these simple rules and procedures.
- Please e-mail us with your request for an entry transfer form. We will then send to you by email an official iceman entry transfer form for you to fill out and send back to us.
- Send your completed Iceman entry transfer form and $15.00 (Check or Money Order) transfer fee to:
Kids Race Sports Development
Iceman Scholarship Program
P.O. Box 942
Pinckney, MI 48169 - The Entry Transfer Form must be from the original registrant only and needs to be completely filled out.
- Your Entry Transfer Form must be RECEIVED by OCTOBER 22ND, 2007. After that date, changes will be meaningless.
- We cannot change T-Shirt orders, so if you ordered a short sleeve T-shirt, your friend will receive that T-shirt. We can change the sizing of the T-shirts though.
- You will receive an automatic email from us, when changes to you entry have been completed.

Mike Liagre has been racing in the Iceman for four year's and has a feel for the excitement and dynamics of the battle out on the race course. This year he'll be applying his enthusiasm on a new Iceman video that he'll produce through his new company, Masher's Media. As the "captain" of Team Sandbag Mike has shot a number of mountain bike events and races throughout Michigan with the sole purpose of capturing the fun and unique aspects of each event. It is this single-minded focus that he'll apply to Masher's Media's Iceman video.
Masher's Media is a small company that has a great deal of interest in filming any grass root sporting events around Michigan. From bicycle racing to sail boat racing on ice, Masher's Media will film it. If you're a weekend warrior and would like to have a keepsake video made, or if the sport that you participate in doesn't draw enough attention, contact them today!

It's been coming for years and it's finally here, the 2008 Iceman entry lottery. In an effort to slow the registration system down a bit and give riders more time to get their family ducks in a row, we are moving to a lottery system for 2008.
Active.com will conduct the lottery electronically on Saturday March 1, 2008. The Active computers will randomly select 2,500 lucky winners. The winners' names will be posted on the Iceman website the same day. Winners will be also be notified directly by Active via email.
So here are all the gory details:
Registration for the lottery will open up on December 1, 2007 and will close at 12 midnight EST on Monday, February 25th. You may register for the lottery either by mail or electronically at iceman.com or active.com. If you register for the lottery by mail, Iceman Promotions, Inc. will process your entry for a $5.00 handling fee (you will still be responsible for checking the winners' list and paying the race fees).
The winners will then receive a password for their entry and pay their race entry fee within 2 weeks (March 15, 2008). Riders who miss the payment deadline will forfeit their entry and the Active computers will select the next lucky winner.
Don't worry, you'll still be able to transfer your entry as in the past should a work conflict or injury arise. Jeff Buerman and the Michigan Youth Cycling crew will be standing by for 2008 transfers. (Exact transfer protocol for 2008 is yet to be determined).

**2008 Iceman Entry Lottery Update**
Active.com will conduct the Iceman lottery electronically during the last week of February, 2008. The Active computers will randomly select 2,500 lucky winners who may then register for the 2008 Iceman and Meijer Slush Cup events.
The Meijer Sno-Cone event for children under 12 will not be part of the lottery and registration for the Sno-Cone will open on February 29th. In fact, the Meijer Sno-Cone will have its very own registration site for 2008.
Registration for the Iceman and Slush Cup lottery will open up on December 1, 2007 and will close at 12 Midnight on Monday February 25th. You may register for the lottery either by mail or electronically here at www.iceman.com, or www.active.com. Electronic registration for the Iceman lottery is free and there is no cap on the number of total lottery registrations.
If you register for the lottery by mail, Iceman Promotions, Inc. will process your entry for a $5.00 handling fee (we will contact you and let you know if you have been selected, or not).
The active.com computer systems will then conduct the selection process over the course of the next few days. The list of selected riders will be posted at www.active.com and here at www.iceman.com on Friday February 29th.
Groups of riders sized from 2 to 10 people may use the same email address to register together. If one rider is selected, the other members of the group with the same email address will also be selected. That means that a husband and wife using the same email address will both be selected if one of the two has been selected. Groups are limited to a maximum size of 10 riders.
Note: Riders submitting "dummy" entries to the lottery will be disqualified from the lottery and forfeit all entries submitted.
Active will notify (via email) everybody that participated in the lottery whether, or not, they were selected. The lottery winners will then receive an email directing them to a separate registration site along with a password for their entry.
Registrants will be able to scroll down the list, pick their name, and then choose their race category and select any merchandize before paying their race fees. Selected riders will have 2 weeks (March 14, 2008) to register for their event. Riders who miss the payment deadline will forfeit their entry and the Active computers will select the next lucky winner who will have another two weeks to register (March 28, 2008).
Registration fees for Iceman and the Meijer Slush Cup will remain constant with the 2007 fees.

Butler, OH – The Second Annual Midwest Regional Championship has been scheduled for November 10, 2007 at the 18th annual "Iceman Cometh Challenge" event in Michigan.
The Midwest Regional Championship is a series to series competition with the division winners from each participating state series competing head to head using comparable iceman division categories as the standard for the competition.
Mountain Bike State Series division winners from Tailwind representing Michigan, DINO representing Indiana, KYMBA representing Kentucky, WORS representing Wisconsin/Illinois, and OMBC representing Ohio will qualify to compete in the sold out Iceman event. New this year is the addition of the West Virginia (WVMBA) Series bringing total participation to six states.
"The Iceman, as the largest single day mountain bike event in North America, provides a great venue for this event and the November 10 date is well after the conclusion of all participating state series.
